I am going to try to provide affordable advertising opportunities for science fiction, fantasy and RPG type products.
Below are the advertising opportunities available on Scifimatter.com. The advantage of advertising on a smaller site like Scifimatter is that you are able to target a prequalified audience who are already interested in science fiction, fantasy, role playing games, comics and sub-topics thereof.
Advertising Opportunity #1: Run of Directory Text Ads(top).
Run of Directory advertising are text based ads that run at the very top of all the pages of the Scifimatter directory. We price these ads at a flat fee for a time period (weekly, monthly) and the ads are managed through Adbrite an independant service which accepts major credit cards. You can find pricing and payment information and rates for our top of directory text ads here.
These ads are very good for reaching a general science fiction, fantasy, role playing game, comics etc. audience. They can also be good for branding.
Advertising Opportunity #2: Category Sponsorship.
90% of click thrus occur on the sites listed on the very first page of each category. Of those, most people are going to click on one of the first 4 listings - those right at the top.
With category sponsorship you can promote your site to the top of the category it is already listed in with an enhanced listing for as little as US .10 (ten cents) per day. This allows for a highly targeted approach to advertising
Simply, login as a member, and then go to the category that your site is listed in and find your listing. When logged in, the cookie should let you see this link just below your listing: "Move your link to the top: sponsor this category". Click on it. Payment are via Paypal.
Category Sponsorship is designed to be a very inexpensive means of target advertising for small shopping sites, authors and publishers.
Advertising Opportunity #3: Top of Category Pages
We also have an advertising spot available near the top of each category page. Your ad will run across all categories in the directory. These are also run by Adbrite and you can find out about them here.
